1. The Meneely Bell Marker
Inscription. The Meneely Bell was originally commissioned and dedicated in 1883. It was used as the city's first fire bell and was located in the bell tower of the original City Hall. It was moved to Waterworks Park in 1928. On April 23, 2005, in observance of the city's 200th anniversary, the bell was moved to the plaza of the City Government Building that stands on the same site as the original City Hall.
