Commemorating the founding of the National Football League in Canton, Ohio on September 17, 1920

The pre-rusted steel pedestal celebrates the steel industry of Northeast Ohio and includes the ten charter members laser cut into it. The stainless steel top, or "seed pod", is giving birth to the NFL and its letters are made of dichroic glass, which was developed by NASA for satellite mirrors.

"The Eleven” is a $2.2 million public art project of ArtsinStark and The Pro Football Hall of Fame. The eleven public artworks (sculpture, mural, multimedia art will be located within walking distance of each other in downtown Canton, Ohio.
