Excerpt (in translation): "Born June 8, 1910 in Paris (XIVth arr.), died in action August 19, 1944 in Paris (Vth arr.); salesman, joiner-carpenter, driver, specialized labourer, republican guard, peacekeeper; honorary member of the police and of the FFI resistance.... On August 19, 1944, around 9 p.m., Alexandre Massiani had the mission with his FFI group to monitor the movements of cantoned German detachments. About fifty people were in the Place du Panthéon, a German patrol appeared in a sidecar. The group dispersed immediately. Massiani, dressed in civilian clothes, remained in the square. He took his gun out of his pocket, and a soldier then shot and killed him."(Submitted on August 22, 2022.)
