1. This Memorial Wall Marker

Inscription. This WWII Memorial was displayed in front of the Village Town Hall which housed the fire department, post office, library, jail and Ridgefield Township office prior to its destruction by fire on December 3, 1946. This plaque survived the fire except for the scorch mark in the lower right panel in the late sixties, Joe Gerber and Joe Gravenhorst found it in the old fire siren building and moved it to the electric department from there it went to the Hess Hardware Store Museum and then to the legion attic.
