Alabamans, Kate worked for women’s suffrage prior to moving to Kissimmee in 1924. Jennings, a salesman, used Kissimmee as his base. Kate was active in the community and Episcopal Church, founded the local Red Cross and managed Knox Hotel. Honored as First Lady of Osceola Co. in 1956.
