1. Schriner Log House Marker
Inscription. This Log House originally stood in Seneca County's Reed Township. Francis Xavier Schriner built this house in the early 1870's. The Log House was originally built as a two-room home. When it was dismantled and moved here in 1980, it was rebuilt as a one-room log house. The stone chimney and fireplace were added at that time. The walls were white-washed (a mixture of lime and salt) to help reflect the light in an otherwise dark cabin.
