Born in Cordell, GA., Beany moved from Gulfport, Miss. to Kissimmee in 1912. He married Avice, from St. Cloud, FL., in 1926. Beany worked for the Post Office 43 years, the last 17 as Postmaster, retiring in 1968. He was active in Kiwanis, Chamber of Commerce and Silver Spurs. He served as Spurs “Big Boss” in 1955.
