Gus was born in Homeland, FL., Dessie in Bowling Green, FL., married in 1916, moved to Kissimmee in 1929. Gus was a cattleman, citrus grower, grocer, First Florida Citrus Mutual Board of Directors 1936-54, County Commissioner 1945-53. They were active in church, civic and community affairs.
