1. Bethel Methodist Church Marker
Inscription. Established 1805 by Rev. John Collins. The first church was a log cabin. Replaced in 1818. The current church dates to 1867.
 
Erected 2000 by Clermont County Historical Society.

Bethel Methodist Church is a historic Methodist church building in rural Clermont County, Ohio. Built in the 1810s under the leadership of one of Ohio's earliest Methodist preachers, John Collins, it has survived the death of its congregation, and it remains in use for community activities. Together with its cemetery, the building continues to be used occasionally, and it has been listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

The marker is on the wall of the church, lower left. The sign in the gable reads, “Old Bethel M.E. Church. Erected 1818, Rebuilt 1867.”
