• Junior Rotarian program - invited area high schools students to attend weekly club meetings and support service projects

• Provided mentors for youth at Lincoln Park School.

• Provided scholarships for high school students to attend a Rotary Youth Leadership Training Camp (RYLA).

• Sponsored Denfeld High School Annual Rotary Speech Meet.

• Developed and implemented Operation Aware to teach youth to overcome peer pressure to use drugs. Adopted by 24 states and four other countries.

• Helped establish and support Rotaract Club (a college level Rotary Club) at College of St. Scholastica in Duluth.

• Assisted with elementary age youth service programs at Duluth's Hartley Nature Center and Lake Superior Zoo.
