1. Lost Villages Historical Society Marker
Inscription.  
To the south-west, at approximately two kilometers, lies Dickinson's Landing, a stagecoach stop on the mail line between Montreal and Kingston, operated by Barnabus Dickinson, the village's founder. The construction of the Cornwall Canal and the building of the Grand Trunk Railway Line at Dickinson's Landing Station (Wales), by the mid-1800's, contributed to the village's population decline from 1000 to 200 residents, a century later.

Au sud-ouest, à environ 2 kilomètres, existait Dickinson's Landing, point d'arrêt pour une compagnie de diligences entre Montréal et Kingston. Le fondateur de l'endroit et de la compagnie s'appelait Barnabus Dickinson. La construction du canal de Cornwall et du chemin de fer grand trunk à la gare de Dickinson's Landing, (Wales) vers 1850, explique la baisse de population de 1000 à 200 personnes, un siecle plus tard.
