The Dutch Reformed
Church of New Brunswick
granted men of this
community permission
in 1787 to establish a
congregation here.
In 1817 this small
group affiliated with
three other churches
and became the First
Presbyterian Church
of Wantage.

Second Plaque:
The Old Clove Church
Erected 1829
Was placed on the State
and National Registers of
Historic Places in 1982.
