1. Engle Bakery Marker
Inscription. Site of Donough's Blacksmith Shop in 1855. The present building dates from 1864 when Christian Schur started a bakery and confectionery here. The business was taken over in 1898 by Harry Engle, a well known merchant who served as mayor in 1913. The building was restored by Hibberd Brothers in 1980. This structure, along with numbers 208-216, constructed between 1853 and 1866, formed Media's first business district. They appear today largely as they did during the Civil War Era.

Erected 1981 by Media Borough Council.
