1. In Honor of Captain Franklin P. Haller, Jr. Marker

Inscription. An adopted son of Media, he commanded this armory and led Company H, 6th Regiment, PNG during its service on the Mexican Border Expedition in 1916 - 1917, and in World War I from 1917 until 1919. He returned here to train and send off the renamed Company M, 111th Infantry, PNG to its service in the Pacific Theatre of World War II from 1941 to 1945. A grateful community honors both Captain Haller and the men he led in harm's way for their devoted service and dedication to our Nation and the freedom and liberty of their fellow citizens.
