November 15, 1777.
The bvilding stood near the centre
of the sqvare, was bvilt in 1756 and
removed in 1841.
Adjoining on the east was the State Hovse
bvilt in 1793 and and torn down in 1840.
Erected 1906 by Yorktown Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and York members of the Pennsylvania Society of the Sons of the Revolution; designed by W.B. Billmeyer.
