Inscription.  The vision for The Works: Ohio Center for History, Art & Technology began in the early 1990s when Howard LeFevre assembled a group of local citizens interested in preserving Licking County's industrial past. Educators, artists, engineers, and community leaders worked to create an institution where history and education linked the past, present, and future of Licking County. Housed in the former Scheidler Machine Works building, The Works has grown to be an indispensable educational and cultural destination for all ages.
