Inscription.
Herbert A. Odle joined The Holophane Company in Newark, Ohio, in 1949 as a graduate of the University of Illinois, and during his career he proceeded to live up to his nickname "The Light Man.” given to him in 1947 in a newsletter of the Illuminating Engineering Society.

When he retired, Herb held 17 U.S. patents with others pending. He was an inventor, a professional engineer, and a servant leader all of his adult life.

After serving in WWII. Herb said he wanted to bring nothing but light to the world after seeing the darkness of the war Through his work, he illuminated our roadways. sports fields, and warehouses, but more importantly Herb brought light to the lives of those he knew.

In honor of Herb, remember to bring your light to our world. Never stop learning. Never stop traveling, and never stop caring for your fellow man.
