These stars are dedicated to five citizens of this community who were presented with the Medal of Honor by the President of the United States.

Together, their fields of battle included World War II, Korea, Vietnam and service on the high seas.

They performed with valor and heroism, above and beyond the "call of duty", and in the highest tradition of the military.

Memorialized on November 10, 1999 by the Palm Springs Chapter of the retired Officers Association.
