1. Jeffrey Lockelier Marker
Inscription. Jeffrey Lockelier, a free man of color, worked at the Courthouse following a military career in Jackson's army. "Major Jeffrey" called Nashville home for twenty years. His 1830 obituary eulogized him as one "who bestowed his best days to the service of his country, lived a life of benevolence, and died praising God."
