Excerpt (in translation): "The old auditorium at Münzgasse 30 in Tübingen is a cultural monument. The building was probably built in 1547 on the remains of two predecessor buildings, of which the older one was built in 1477 and the younger one burned down in 1534. The building served as the main building of the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen until the new auditorium was completed in 1845."
