Inscription. On Sept. 19, 1824, General Lafayette arrived here to visit Mrs. Caroline Dewindt, granddaughter of former Pres. John Adams, at her home.

Erected 2022 by NY Daughters of the American Revolution. William G. Pomery Foundation. (Marker Number 77.)
