Welcome to the Historic Village in Ocean View!
The Coastal Towns Museum property includes the Evans-West House, a barn (one of the oldest in Sussex County), a wood house (named the Woodhouseum), and an outhouse.
The Evans-West house, placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017, was built in 1901 by James Evans and Mary West Evans. Carolyn Brunner and Dan McCann, descendants of the Evans-West family, donated the house to the Historic Village in Ocean View.
The house itself is not yet open as it is under transformation to be the actual museum, but you can access the Woodhouseum and outhouse, both of which were restored by a local Eagle Scout.
