1. The Morrill House Marker
Inscription. Built by John Crawford, brother of the master builder, and later builder of many fine homes in New Albany. Dr. W.F. Morrill and his wife, a daughter of Mr. Crawford's, lived here till his death at the turn of the century. Notable visitor was Ralph Waldo Emerson who stayed with the Morrill's during his frequent lecture tours in the late 1860's.
