Bakers Creek Baptist Church

As Spencer County celebrates its bicentennial 1818-2018 Spencer County Historical Society recognizes Bakers Creek Baptist Church for 200 years of active service. The church was organized in 1818 and the first service in the first meeting house was in April 1822.The original church and cemetery were located on property donated by David Luce, one-half mile northeast of this church. The 1869 church burnt in 1918. This fourth church was built in 1922.
