1. Home of Dr. Robert Slaughter Marker
Inscription. A fire of March 1888 started in identical home on corner and destroyed both after a heroic battle of neighbors and townsfolk fought hard to save the block. Both homes were rebuilt to resemble original structures. Prior to fire, this was home to Dr. Robert Slaughter.
 
Erected 2004 by Women's Club of Newburgh, Indiana.
