McClain Circle
In 1892, fifty five acres of the original McClain Family Farm were secured as the permanent site of the Cumberland University campus and later that same year the cornerstone for Memorial Hall was laid.
Like that cornerstone, the generations of involvement and support from members of the McClain and Hatfield families have served as the reference point from which the campus has and continues to grow.
In grateful recognition of their immeasurable contributions to Cumberland's existence and success, the members of the Board of Trust are pleased to honor the McClain and Hatfield families with the addition of the McClain Circle to the campus.
As the new main entrance to the Cumberland University campus, McClain Circle will welcome countless future generations of students as they pursue their dream of obtaining a college education.
