Inscription. Beginning in October 1964, the sounds of Jefferson Street were spread by a nationally syndicated television program that reached by beyond Nashville. Five years before Chicago's popular 'Soul Train' program, Nashville's own 'Night Train' exposed audiences around the country to local and national R&B acts. The show was produced at WLAC-TV, and featured Nashville talents such as The Spidells, Jimmy Church, The Hytones, The Avons and the King Casuals with guitarists Jimi Hendrix and Johnny Jones, and bassist Billy Cox.
