1. In Memory of their Fallen Classmates Marker
Inscription. In appreciation to those whose foresight and steadfastness made possible the restoration and preservation of historical Hangar 9. Presented by Flying Class 40-A, whose members graduated from Advanced Pilot Training at Brooks Field on 9 January 1942 upon the occasion of their first reunion ever in forty-one years and in memory of their fallen classmates.

The Air Force was the largest tenant at Brooks City-Base.
