Welcome to Plaza Place. A Single Family Residential Community. Plaza Place, formerly known as Brighton Estates, has welcomed visitors for more than a century. Unique and diverse architecture distinguishes the homes in this neighborhood, which is bordered by 7th Street, Pelham Place, Atlantic and Wayne Avenues. The majority of the homes were built between 1902 and 1930. Many past and present residents have contributed greatly to Ocean City as elected officials, municipal judges, and entrepreneurs with various boardwalk enterprises, some dating back to the 1920s, including the Simms' Seafood Restaurant, Faunces Theatres (Moorlyn, Strand, Village, Surf, Uno), and Johnson's Ice Cream. Plaza Place was also the childhood home of television and film actress Marla Adams, a graduate of Ocean City High School. This plaque is dedicated to Plaza Place residents for the many contributions made for more than 100 years to Ocean City, N.J.
