Inscription.
On November 14, 1970, a chartered jet crashed on approach to Tri-State Airport near Huntington, claiming the lives of seventy-five members of the Marshall University football team, coaches, fans, pilots & crew. This boulevard, named in honor of these fallen members of the university family, leads visitors from the heart of the Marshall community to the Spring Hill Cemetery.
 
Erected 2000 by West Virginia Division of Archives and History.
