Inscription. Built by H.W. ‘Uncle Billy’ Horton on site of his livery stables, early tenants included Grand Piano Co. and the Owl's Club, a nip joint.

3. The Horton Livery Stable
W. H. "Billy" Horton took over the business in 1880 upon the death of its previous owner, J.T. Corder. The business was later operated by Horton and John Roberts as Horton and Roberts Livery Stable. The Horton Building was erected on the site in 1894.
