Regarding 412 Jefferson St., SE. The building was previously known as the Meals & Burke Building, after the men's clothing store that operated there. Ira Jacob Means and Thomas J. Burke opened a small menswear shop in 1887, and by 1912 had become successful enough to construct the three-story commercial building at 412 South Jefferson. S&W Cafeteria opened in the building in 1954. The building has been the flagship of Davidsons, a locally owned menswear retailer, since 1964.
