Inscription.
Faithfully served Total Action for Progress for 47 years. During his tenure, he served as President and CEO for 40 years. He was instrumental in the establishment of innovative programs that helped transform the lives of low-income individuals, families and communities. Several initiatives became agencies with regional, statewide and national impact. These include Virginia CARES, the Southeast Rural Community Assistance Project, Project Discovery, Feeding America Southwest Virginia, the Child Health Investment Partnership, the Legal Aid Society of Roanoke Valley, Roanoke Area Dial-A-Ride and the Local Office on Aging. Respected by his colleagues for his leadership, passion and vision, Ted served with distinction from 1968 to 2015.
