1. Bobby Hebb Marker
Inscription. Bobby Hebb, a Nashville native and lifelong resident, made his stage debut on his third birthday, July 26, 1941 at the Bijou Theater. Hebb would go on to write hundreds of songs, the most notable of which "Sunny" has been covered by the likes of Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Stevie Wonder, Wilson Pickett and countless others. His influence goes well beyond "Sunny." In the early 50's as a member of Roy Acuff's Smokey Mountain boys, Hebb became one of the first African_American artists to perform on The Grand Old Opry.
