Inscription. Jerry Maynard is a North Nashville resident and currently serves as a Metropolitan Government Council-Member At-Large. he has devoted countless hours to the Jefferson Street Community including a pivotal role in the creation and implementation of the Gateway to Heritage project. Maynard joined Meharry Medical College in 1996 as the Director of Legal Affairs and Risk management and also served as General Counsel for Mathew Walker Comprehensive health Center, Inc. for ten years. He has been an Adjunct Professor for Fisk University, Meharry Medical College and Tennessee State University, teaching Health Law, Business Law and Ethics. In 2008, Maynard accepted his appointment of Sr. Pastor for Southside Community Church here in Nashville.
