1. Moses Gunn Marker
Inscription. Moses Gunn graduated from Tennessee State University in 1959. He attended graduate school at Kansas University and taught briefly at Grambling College before becoming an actor. Gunn was an authoritative character actor of film and TV and also had a successful career on stage. In the 1960's, as an Obie Award winning stage player, he co-founded the Negro Ensemble company in new York City. In 1977, Gunn was nominated for an Emmy Award for his role in the critically acclaimed TV mini-series "Roots."
