The public library in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota was built in 1913 with a $10,000 grant from Andrew Carnegie. It was built in the Prairie School style and featured stained glass windows, terra cotta panels, and a red-tiled roof. The library has always been a cherished piece of Detroit Lakes. In fact, it’s still used as a public library. An addition was added to the rear in 1989, doubling the size of the library.(Submitted on November 2, 2022, by Cosmos Mariner of Cape Canaveral, Florida.)
