1. Edward S. Temple Marker
Inscription. In his 40 year tenure as the women's track coach at Tennessee State University, Temple had 40 members of his Tigerbelles represent the University in Olympic competition. Temple himself served as head women's track coach for two consecutive Olympiads.: Rome in 1960 and Tokyo in 1964 and as an assistant coach in the 1980 games. Temple has been elected to The National Track and Field Hall of Fame. The Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame, The National Sports Hall of Fame and in 2012, The U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame.
