Bishop Walker, III
Bishop Joseph Warren Walker, III began as pastor at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with 175 members in 1992. He has grown the church to over 25,000 members and two additional locations to go with the original church in the Historic Jefferson St. Corridor. In 2001, Bishop Walker launched the New Level Community Development Corporation. The NLCDC is committed to low and moderate income families and to economic development.
