1. Marion Municipal Building Marker
Inscription. The lot where town hall now stands, 138 West Main, was once a miniature golf course! The town purchased the lot for $5,000 on November 24, 1934 and on July 5, 1935, Marion Town Council held its first meeting in the new building. Original cost to build: $25,000. It was remodeled in 1999 for $736,000, providing a modern workspace in an historic building.
