Inscription.
There are 50 soldiers portrayed here of actual WWII infantrymen. Each Man was sculpted from real life and represents his individual State in the United States

The lead man is Fred Hoppe Sr. the sculptor's father representing the State of Nebraska.

Together they honor over almost 407,000 American Servicemen. These men gave their lives in the service of our country during World War II

These men also honor all those men and women, who have ever served and sacrificed for their country. The sculpture is considered to be the largest life size bronze military sculpture in the world.
70 feet long and weighing in at over 15 tons
