The Starrs were the original owners of this one-story-with-basement frame house. Mr. Starr was a tinner. He and his wife had three children: Eloise, Robert, and Weaver. Eloise taught school in Wilkes County for many years. Robert and Weaver both worked for the Bank of North Wilkesboro and both were members of the Wilkes Concert Band.
