Regarding Prevette-Lenderman House. Excerpt from the National Register of Historic Places nomination for the Downtown Wilkesboro Historic District, of which the Prevette-Lenderman House is a contributing building:
The two-story, L-shaped, frame house of simple Queen Anne style has a stone-pier foundation, weatherboard siding, a gabled roof, and two interior chimneys. Attorney Joseph M. Prevette was the original owner of the house. Around 1938, Henry and Alma Lenderman purchased the house, which remains in Lenderman family ownership and occupancy.
