Lake County
In honor of the Lake County World War II veterans who served
their country for peace, honor and glory, and for those that
sacrificed their lives defending the freedom we all cherish.

Medal of Honor Recipient,
Private Robert McTureous, Jr. U.S.M.C.

First War Bond was sold in Leesburg on
May 1, 1941.

Sixty-five (65) of Lake County’s residents
were killed in action.

1925 lbs. of scrap metal were donated
for the pre-war efforts.
