1. Rainey Service Station Marker

Inscription. F.W. (Jack) Rainey was the original owner of this former Gulf service station. Constructed of cut stone from Grandfather Mountain, the building is indicative of facilities built along the Blue Ridge Parkway during the same time period. The drive-through canopy and three service bays are now infilled with windows.
