1. Sunset Manor Marker

Inscription. Sunset Manor was built in 1920 by Dr. W.B. Council, Sr., a physician and senator, who was instrumental in developing the Town of Boone. It was built on the site of “Sunset Rock,” at that time a popular spot for locals to view sunsets. The house, restored in 2015, has original stone, woodwork, flooring, chimneys, and “playful ghosts.”
