Sumter County

We the people of Sumter County,
honor, with our deepest gratitude,
those who sacrificed and gave so much of themselves
to support the war effort
and those who joined the fight
to save the world from tyranny during World War II.

This monument is dedicated
to those who served
with dignity and valor
so that we may enjoy
their gifts of
freedom, peace, and posterity.

God Bless the United States of America.
