1. Summer Kitchen 1812 Marker
Inscription. The Summer Kitchen is the second oldest building on the property. All of the cooking for the site was done in this building until 1910. Cooking away from the main homes reduced the likelihood of fire in the houses and kept them cooler in the hot summer months.

The restoration was completed in 1998.
