Capitol Hill in Tallahassee in Leon County, Florida — The American South (South Atlantic)
Hendry County
Florida World War II Memorial
We proudly pay tribute
to those who left the safe confines of home in Hendry County
to serve their nation during World War II.
Many of whom made the ultimate supreme sacrifice for our freedom.
We proclaim our appreciation for the Royal Air Force Cadets
who so affectionately remembered Clewiston
as a second home throughout their lives.
We also honor our citizens
who supported the war from their home front
and made sacrifices to provide our soldiers
with the necessary resources for victory.
