1. The Declaration of Independence Marker
Inscription.
The words above, from the Declaration of Independence, have changed the world.

Written to proclaim America's right to become a separate nation, these sacred truths have led successive generations of Americans to create the most open society in the history of mankind, and have inspired over one hundred nations to adopt similar principles in their own declarations of independence.

This Museum commemorates the men, women, and children, from all walks of life, who sacrificed, struggled, and fought so that this nation could be born.

The words on the panel above exactly replicate the first newspaper printing of the Declaration in the Pennsylvania Evening Post of July 6, 1776.

Erected by Martha McGeary Snider and Family.
